Protein

    Protein is a key 'macronutrient' meaning that the body needs relatively large amounts of it to develop strength and size. Protein is very important for building and repairing muscles, bones, skin and blood.

    How Much Protein Do I Need?

    For an individual undertaking physical activity it is recommended that your protein intake should be between 1 - 1.5 grams per pound of bodyweight.
    Example:
    Weight: 65kg / 143lbs
    143lbs x 1.5
    Protein Intake = _____

    Protein Powders & Shakes:

    If undertaking regular physical activity which put strain on your body protein shakes help maintain and repair your muscle. They are not necessary, however they help improve your protein intake and are very convenient.
